Once again, the morning at Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania, was breathtaking. After a long night of stormy weather, the sun was shining, the wind was quiet, and the air was fresh. James was worn out. With the wind and rain beating down on him nonstop, he was barely able to get any sleep. Either way, he got dressed and prepared for another laid-back Sunday. He had no idea that his day would be anything from laid back.

After eating breakfast and leaving for their weekly church service at 10 a.m., James and his wife returned home to tend to the garden and perform other household tasks. James started mentally compiling a list of the things that needed to be done in the garden while driving home from church. Now that his two children had grown up and left home, he focused all of his care and attention on his small yard.

After returning home, the couple strolled from the car to their front door. However, James heard something right before he turned the handle. “Are you aware of that?James questioned Sarah, perplexed. Yes, what’s that?”, she answered. They had never heard anything like the hissing sound before. James moves away from the door, trailing the unsettling noise.

It took him to his backyard by going around his house. The sounds grew louder as he turned the corner. James went suddenly frozen. “What the..”, he muttered. There was a large area of grass in front of him that appeared to be rising. He scrambled clumsily toward the strange scene, digging his heels into the ground.

James gave the unusual object a tap with his foot, and he watched in horror as the raised area of ground moved under his foot. He panicked and leaped back. His spouse trailed behind him, both gazing at it with interest. James kicked it again, hesitantly, after it had stopped moving. It swayed again and finally came to a stop. Then he probably shouldn’t have done what he did.

How absurd is that?”, he declared. It resembles a waterbed or bubble!”. He removed his sandals and went on it, feeling bolder. The strange substance shifted beneath his feet resembling a massive piece of jelly. James began to hop on it since he was getting too excited by the great feeling. But he heard a terrible, insane sound during his third jump. He stopped.

The bulk beneath his feet grew as a loud pop filled the air. James realized he had no idea what he was standing on and hurriedly got down. He hoped the noise was not a major one. However, it was. James requested that his spouse take out her phone and begin recording. This was going to blow out in his face. However, he had no idea what they would find.

As James grabbed an umbrella from the side of the house, Sarah took out her camera. He began to poke at the unexplained bump. However, nothing took place. He required something more robust. He found a gardening tool and went back to prodding it. What happens if snakes emerge? “,” his spouse jokingly said. But what was within was even more terrifying than snakes.

Once more, he rose to the top of the enigmatic mass and intensified his attempts to puncture the grass. The hissing sound gradually subsided until an abrupt loud pop was heard again. James felt a loud “whoosh” beneath his feet as the grass churned and he stabilized himself. His eyes widened in surprise at what transpired next.

At last, James made it through the grass and popped the enormous bubble. Sarah and James were astounded to see the dark water shoot out. It kept pouring out of the earth like a never-ending stream of water. But this bubble would disclose to them more than just the captivating earth fountain.

James watched his yard pour water out of its underside for fifteen minutes before he noticed something odd. There was a black plastic fragment protruding from the grass on the opening hole. James walked over to the hole and retrieved the plastic fragment. When he attempted to remove it, it remained in place. It appeared to be the border of a dark garbage bag.

“What’s that about?”, he pondered. To find out, he waited until the unusual bubble’s water had evaporated. He turned to gaze at his now-flooded garden. His yard poured onto the street like a tiny river. Still, the mess wasn’t the worst of his issues.

James went to get a shovel from his garage. He had to take out the plastic bag to see if that was the source of this weird phenomenon. One shovel at a time, he excavated his favorite grass until he found the offender. He attempted to take it out once more, reaching his hand inside. The plastic bag was as sturdy as nails, yet it appeared to have been there for years.

James became confused when he found the plastic bag was much larger than he had initially believed. He kept digging in the hopes of discovering its conclusion. Using his shovel, he followed the plastic bag till he came to the end of his grass. James was clueless about what was happening. He moved to the furthest end of his yard and dug into the ground.

It met his expectations. Beneath his whole grass, the black plastic was like a big sheet. However, why? After making a line from the middle of his garden to its edge, James strolled back to the opposite side. With his pocket knife, he made a line through the plastic sheet. He made some astounding discoveries.

He pushed back the plastic sheet, desperate to see what was beneath his very own garden. The air started to fill with an odd odor. The sight of the worn and unclean wooden boards raised an eyebrow in his eyebrow. When James first purchased his house 50 years ago, he did not recall seeing anything resembling this sketched in the blueprint. Things were going to get really weird.

“I’m not sure,” he answered. “There appears to be some kind of structure.” “I assume none of this was disclosed to us when we purchased the home?”, he enquired. “Honey,” Sarah cut you off. “It appears to be a door handle.” James turned in alarm. “Oh my gosh. Yes, it does,” he said. His heart began to race. It was becoming clear that this was no ordinary garden.

James picked up his shovel and began to clear the space. Subsequently, he seized his blade and tore off additional portions of the peculiar plastic layer. While he attempted to pry open the strange door, his spouse remained nearby. He opened his thoughts with all his vigor, and his mind raced with theories. Was that a bunker? Some sort of prehistoric ruin? His palms began to perspire in excitement.

James could barely speak when the date managed to snag a bottle.
